Reclaiming Male Connection Through the Wisdom of the Wild

Explore primal locomotion, groundwork, grooves, and improvisational skill-building. We focus on adaptable, functional movement — helping you build coordination, strength, and fluidity in a way that reconnects you to your natural body.

❋ Develop Your Movement

Playful, structured movement explorations across solo, partner, and group games. Inspired by martial improvisation, these practices build timing, responsiveness, creativity, trust, resilience, and a whole lot of fun.

❋ Expand Your Play

Relational movement practices that sharpen listening, presence, and embodied communication through shared rhythm and touch.

❋ Deepen Your Connection

Through contact improvisation and guided movement exploration, you’ll explore weight-sharing, momentum, and spontaneous expression. These sessions invite creativity, emotional range, and the joy of moving without choreography.

❋ Improvisational Dance

Feel your feet on the earth. Learn the rhythms of the land through our nature connection practices. Our days unfold outdoors — moving, resting, and attuning to the elements. Gather around the fire to share stories, reconnect, and remember what it means to belong to the land and each other.

❋ Practice Outside

Learn healthy practices for joint integrity, injury prevention, and rehabilitation. Recover throughout the weekend with sauna & cold plunge—leaving you feeling nourished, not depleted.

❋ Care & Integration

Body. Land. Brotherhood.

What’s this about?

A 4-night wilderness gathering to reconnect with what it means to be a man—In your body, in brotherhood & in the wild.

There’s a quiet philosophy at the heart of this gathering: that living in close relationship—with ourselves, each other, and the land—is enough.

We don’t need nonstop programming to fill every second of our day. The structure is simple, intentional, and spacious—designed to help us ground into the rhythms of the wilderness and allow the land, the fire, and our presence to do the deeper work.
We’re gathering to move, make fire, share meals, and wrestle—physically and emotionally—with what it means to be in connection with other men.
This is not a retreat led from the front.
This is a co-created summit rooted in presence, firelight, wildness, and brotherhood.
A space for embodied exploration, honest reflection, and deep nourishment.

A co-created space

This is not a retreat led from the front. This is a co-created summit rooted in presence, firelight, wildness, and brotherhood. The spirit of this gathering is co-creation. You are here for a reason. You are an honorable man with gifts to offer this world. Bring your authentic self. You are a leader — whether or not you choose to step into a formal facilitation role. Throughout our days together, there will be opportunities — and an expectation — that each of us brings something to offer to the circle, through the spirit of giving, participation, and presence.

Embodied brotherhood runs as a community, thus part of the participation is that all individuals contribute to 1-2 work shifts. Participant Community Support

The Rhythm

We aim to strike a balance between structure and openness—creating a clear container while leaving space for spontaneity, rest, and what naturally unfolds. Each day carries its own rhythm, but the arc is intentional. We begin by arriving and grounding, move into deeper exploration and connection, and close with integration.

A typical day at Embodied Brotherhood looks like:

  • Sunrise connection with nature

  • Morning movement practice

  • Shared meals prepared with care

  • Facilitated group sessions (embodiment, connection, relational work)

  • Ritual and ceremony woven throughout the day

  • Spacious time for rest, solo reflection, or emergent offerings

  • River dips and time to reset in the elements

  • Evening fire circles and community gatherings

Meet Your Faciliators

Asa helps people rediscover freedom and aliveness by teaching deceptively simple ways to let the body lead. Drawing upon acrobatics, dance, bodywork, vipassana, and various therapeutic modalities, Asa brings a refreshing combination of levity and depth to the processes of learning and healing. With over a decade of experience in mind-body healing, he helps people find grace through the pains of life and occasionally gets to witness moments of transformation that defy description.

Sam Mescon

Sam is a movement practitioner, wilderness guide, and community builder with over six years of professional facilitation experience. A devoted game-giver and proponent of embodied living, Sam creates immersive containers that weave together contact improvisation, martial arts, and somatic practices. His playfighting work invites people into honest movement, deep listening, and the kind of connection that sneaks up on you—in the middle of a tumble, a shared breath, or a perfectly timed monkey noise.

As an embodiment researcher, Lucy sees the body as a wild landscape - rich with intelligence, ecology, and emotion. She explores this through contact improvisation, wilderness work, somatic connection, and music-making. Guided by a passion for movement, Lucy has danced on floors around the world, bringing home a synthesis of classical contact improvisation teachings and a deep curiosity for what naturally emerges when we enter a space of allowance.

  • “Embodied Brotherhood was a deeply grounding and transformative experience. Several days off-grid with a group of men created space away from distraction and noise, bringing me back to what matters. I left feeling more grounded, clear, connected, and honest with myself than I had in a long time.”

    -Steven W

  • “Embodied Brotherhood was amazing! I felt equally supported and challenged throughout the weekend and appreciated the mix of adventure with focused, heartfelt conversations. I left feeling lit up and closer to all the men, as well as the stunning mountains we camped in.”

    -Asa D
